NiGHTS INTO DREAMS: Keep Dreaming is a free fan project that brings a new perspective to the franchise, that being both 3D and open world.

A roughly 1-2 hour story mode

More hours of gameplay if you choose to interact with optional content, such as the A-Life system.

An open world rendition of Nightopia. Think one of the levels from the original game but opened up into an explorable zone.

~~~~STORY~~~~

A young man has given up on their dreams and begrudgingly accepted a monotonous, paycheck to paycheck lifestyle, thus leaving their dreamscape in ruins. A mysterious entity, NiGHTS, takes notice of this newly ruined dreamscape and offers to help save the dreamer's subconscious before it's too late.

Please do not expect extremely polished AAA quality. I am one fan who does game development as a hobby.

Expect a fun lil' romp through a slice of Nightopia.

Q: How many people are working on this?

A: Just me, myself, and I :)

Q: Why open world?

A: To me the biggest appeal of NiGHTS gameplay is capturing the feeling of what it's like to fly in a dream, and I wanted to make that the focus of this project as opposed to the score attack nature of the original.

Q: How big is the map?

A: It's not super massive. There is plenty to explore and keep you entertained for several hours, but it's not so massive that you will get lost easily.

Q: Why does Nightopia appear full of ruins?

A: Story reasons, it reflects the dreamer's state of mind.

Q: Will this game actually get finished?

A: Yes. I didn't make this page or trailer until most things were finished and I knew I could get it done. There's always a chance that something bad happens and causes a delay, but I feel confident in a 2026 release date, sometime this summer. Just in time for NiGHTS 30th anniversary!
